The Premier League has released the start date of the 2019/2020 season. Next season rolling on August 10, 2019, two days after the summer transfer market was closed.

The 2018/2019 season is not over, but the Premier League has released the start date of the 2019/2020 season. This was conveyed through their official website on Thursday (02/21/2019) local time.

"The Premier League 2019/2020 will start on Saturday 10 August 2019. Other important dates for next season will be announced according to schedule," the league statement said.


The Premier League also announced the closure of the summer transfer market. Closure is done two days before the rolling season.

"The 2019 summer transfer window will be closed at 17.00 British time on Thursday 8 August 2018," continued the statement.

This is the second time in a row the summer transfer window in the Premier League was closed before the new season campaign rolled out. After the regulation began to be applied this season.
